          You can buy pre-gapped spark plugs, or gap them yourself. The gap refers to the space inbetween the prong on the bottom of the plug. The gap differs for every engine and amount of horsepower. You can do it yourself easily w/ a spark plug gapping tool.

            since you are a 2.0 you'll be fine with plat's or iridium plugs. turbo guys should stick with copper plugs, there are many threads on vortex regarding the subject.

                Re: Spark Plugs

                I bought a plug gapper today but there was 2 kinds - 1 that went from like 2-80 and another that was 3-60ish with more mid range gaps. What's the typical gap we use?

                      Re: Spark Plugs

                      The 2.0's require a gap of .035 to .043 in.

                      You would want the fresh plugs to have a gap closer to 0.035 in.

                      The larger the gap...the more power it requires for the current to jump from the center electrode to the ground electrode...thus less power and increased fuel economy.

                        Also...checked the Bentley for the 2.0 engines:

                        AEG:
                        NGK BKUR 6ET-10 <=> Denso IK20

                        AVH, AZG:
                        NGK PZF R5D-11 <=> Denso IK16

                        So make sure you get the right spark plug for the correct engine you have
