  • Corrado purchase - thoughts?

I'm seriously considering buying this car to teach my gf how to drive standard. What do you guys think?

Is a corrado a decent learning car? reinstalling the interior, bumper and headlights is nothing so that doesn't bother me. Is the asking price good or what should I aim for?

No comment on the pricing, I don't know enough about corrados, but it certainly looks like it would be a fun project.

looks like allot of good parts, still allot of work and money to bring it up to spec. I would say if you can get it for $2000 it would be worth it but I would think it would take another 5000 to bring it up to a clean daily driver status

Price seems quite high for a "some assembly required" corrado. id say 1500-2k max

Looks like a pretty good deal but I'm sure you could get it down close to 2k if you bring cash with you to see the car

Why in the world would you ever pull a rear fender first to try to fit a wheel.... Could do the front and just buy a new fender if it doesn't work out. I bet it will take you a year to get that thing running. If you don't want your gf driving in that time you are golden. That being said if you want a solid project car it looks worth the money... bring a big trailer.

The seller says he's put the engine, transmission and braking system together and it's currently driving. Can't be on the road due to lack of bumper, lights and the interior is apart of course.

I figure put it together, teach the GF standard for a month or two then sell it.

Considering how unreliable they can be and how scarce some parts are, I wouldnt say it's a good car to learn on. Get a mk2, they're a dime a dozen
