  • ABD Swaybar Opinions

    Hello,

I'm interested in opinions on the ABD 28MM rear sway. I'm aware of the other options but if you've got a clear favorite and a reason for it, please let me know!

I'm not aware of any advantage to any brand other than some are a bit easier to install. A .28mm bar will be good regardless (and if there is a difference I can't see anyone noticing). I have the ABD if that matters, because it's what C1 had in stock. Love it!

If you're interested in flexability I suggest the Neuspeed 28mm RSB. I think I gave you a ride in my car once... it's a good bar... has 3 settings... easy to install (no drilling)... and it's a pretty red.

The differences are a slight weight difference between solid/hollow bars, adjustability vs non-adujstability, and install difficulty.

I have the ABD and its great. I don't really care if its adjustable, I made C1 install it.

I had one installed and I noticed a major difference in handling. I was on stock suspension at the time and I immediately noticed the difference. Worth the money in my opinion. Now that I have H&R sports and Bilsteins with the swaybar it is very nice!

I see a pattern here, most people have an ABD and it came from C1.

I called C1 to see what they were using, would prefer a Shine, but I really don't think there's that much difference aside from those listed by those earlier in the thread.

ABD @ C1 it is, unless anyone can suggest a better price/service option..

I went with the Autotech for two reasons. First, I trust the solid mounting to the rear beam instead of metal straps (yes, you have to drill your rear beam to attach it), and it has aluminum end links which should prove useful in our salty winter climate. The second reason is comparable stiffness (no idea how the guys on Vortex actually measured this) and significantly lighter since it's a hollow bar. Anyway, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the bars out there.
