    Re: Custom angel eyes!

Only reason I recommend doing this is because my angel eyes are bright blue. You're not allowed to have any colours in your headlights, because you can get pulled over for that and ticketed. However, if you're doing white LED's to make white rings, you can have them all the time with no worries. Thats how BMW's get away with it, theirs are white.

          I don't see why not.

But everyone coming should understand, that you wont be able to drive home with your headlights on, you'll have to install them later when everything is dry.

Ok I am down for this, I will look into getting some super! brigth LED that I know of and see if I can come up with a switching circuit for a colour change(therewise I should be able to get lots of bright LEDs cheap). As for wiring I havethis covered too, do not use splices I will gring my soldering iron and pick up some heatshrink with glue in it so it will have a good seal. I also have a dremel and a heat gun so we can do more then one at once. I would sugest getting the good cutting blades for the dremel as the cheap ones are crap and break all the time. I am sure if we just get directions for one we can just do two at a time and take a couple weekends to do it and joels at the same time.

-some clear rod that can be bent (if heated).
-a knive/exacto to make grooves in the plastic rod to refract light
-8 LED's (colour of your choice)
            -8 wiretaps
            -maybe 6 feet of wire
-soldering iron or some tool to make an indentation into the end of the rod for the LED to sit in.
-tube of silicone to glue LED's into rod. circles onto lights. and the case closed.
-masking tape to hold the rings to the lights while they dry

            I think that's all you'll need.

Oh, and I leave to go back to Manitoba end of april, so earlier the better.

OK well if you guys bring a soldering iron that just makes it easier, I didnt do mine with one because I don't own one, so I had to use taps.

Let me know when you guys want to do this.
