I got around to installing some wheel studs and nuts and my GTI to mount wheels easier plus I switch wheels way to often and was afraid my hubs might get striped eventually. I got this done with a lot of advice from Dan GSR and this thread... http://golfmkv.com/forums/showthread...ighlight=studs
1) Blue or Red Loctite.(Blue is Semi-permanent and Red is Permanent)
2) M14x1.5 Racing Wheel Studs
3) Spherical or Conical M14x1.5 Nuts.(Depending on the wheel)
4) Allen Keys
5) Floor Jack
6) Brake Cleaner
7) Lug wrench
On to the pics...
The Spherical lug nuts(usually for OEM wheels)...
The 50mm studs(more than enough length on my application)...
The bag of goodies together...
Red Loctite(Basically permanent but there are ways to remove it)...
Clean the insides of the threads on the hub with brake cleaner...
Apply the Loctite to the SHORT end of the stud(its the side that goes into the hub)...
Use the allen key to tighten the stud into the hub(88 ft/lbs for you torque wrench people)...
Tighten all of the studs into the hub...
Finished product of the studs in the hub...
The huffs put up on the studs...
Put the lug nuts on the studs and tighten. Finished product...
I think there was a miss-communication. basically i cant use the included lug nuts that came included with my rims, instead i have to buy conical nuts. Am I getting this straight now? lol.

Sorry im so retarded. pls no h8
Can't tell from the picture specifically. But if your wheels came with lug nuts then there is a good chance they are cone seated. Take a look at the non hex side and see if it looks like half a ball or if the edges are flat. We can take a look at coffee tomorrow if it's still on
Anyways, i'm done trying with these. if anyone has any suggestions, let me know. probably just gonna end up selling them and learning from the mistakes that i made. gotta learn somehow, right? if anyone wants to buy them for whatever other car, let me know. kijiji here i come!!!!!
I don't see why they won't fit unless the wheel hub bore is smaller than your hub bore. The back pad depth looks deeper than your dust cap. Looks like you have a hub ring on your hub all covered in anti seize.

looks like the bare hub to me. So, youre saying the hole in the middle of the wheel is too small to fit over the part that bulges out on your rotor?

My internet search powers show this as being most likely the set you bought, and therefore the wrong center bore (VW center bore is 57.1, subaru is 56.1).
Four (4) TSW Hockenheim R wheels are up for sale. Size is 16" (7.5Jx16 ET40), PCD 5x100 with a hubcentric bore of 56.1mm. The set was used on a 1995 Subaru Impreza. Condition as shown in pictures. Upon transaction, buyer acknowledges that all the tires currently mounted on the rims are NOT considered as road-worthy and assumes the responsibility to unmount and replace them thereafter. Failure to do so may cause property damage and/or personnel injury/death which seller will not be ...
A too big center bore can be fixed with a center ring, but unfortunately these are too small. I'd suggest selling them to soemone who wants to put them on their subaru/saab. Find a set of 5x100 bolt pattern, center bore 57.1, offset between +25 to +40 (works with spacers).
