Frist clean them off with a pressure washer or a strong hose. Then if they are tight work just the bottom adjuster as that is the locking one. If you can't move it by hand with (with the tool) take a rubber mallet and hit the tool with it - that should shock it lose. Don't need to hit it to hard though. You can try a lubrication spray but I hate that because all it does is get the dirt to stick to the treads. If all of that doesn't work you can get a air powered impact hammer and use it to losen the locking adjuster. Trust me that works. Good luck!

just make sure you have alot of anti-seize compound and anal lube, if that doesnt work, its time to

Tell us what you are doing because I can't figure where you can go wrong. It's pretty straight forward. The coilover body is threaded with standard right hand thread and you just turn the two lock rings in opposite directions with the supplied c-spanners to undo them. Then you just raise and lower the upper ring to the desired height and re-lock.

Other than that, if it's seized then you've gotta put some muscle into it.

Congrats cedrick. The process shouldn't be overly complicated, but I havn't done it myself. I might have to adjust my coils in the next few weeks as well, just to raise the back a little, because it's looking to low compared to the front.

why not just lower the front to make it look even?

LOL... you know... somehow I knew someone would say that. I would, but the front has already been lowered 2"... so I don't want to get much lower.

ok, so this is the process i tried.......
                        1. jack up the car
                        2. loosen the bottom screw thing with the coil tool
                        3. tried to loosen the next screw thingy, (with muscle) and it didnt budge!!
                        4. screamed profanities, and it still didnt budge
                        5. lowered the car down
                        6. walked away!!!!!!
                        7. had a beer
                        8. emailed newveedub
                        9. cried
                        10.thats it

so where did i go wrong, or do i just need more muscle?

                          Re: question about coil overs

sounds like you need hammer on tool muscle for the bottom adjuster. Just get a rubber mallet and hit the adjuster that directly touches the spring (with the tool on there). You are losening it the proper way correct?

Crossthreaded? Did you try any of the other wheels?
