I thought I would group all the Volkswagen Automotive Group Concepts from this years Wörthersee event into a single thread since some are fairly simple, or are just teasers at this point with full reveals next week!!

Volkswagen has unveiled the GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo which will be shown in the metal at Wörthersee.

VAG's theme this year for Wörthersee seems to be open-top concepts as after the Seat Ibiza Cupster and the Skoda CitiJet, the GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo concept seen here also adopts an open-air cabin. Unlike the first two, Volkswagen's GTI was designed exclusively for Gran Turismo 6 and is described as being a "supercar" with a very aggressive styling approach.

Its heart and soul is a twin-turbo VR6 TSI 3.0-liter engine unleashing 503 bhp (375 kW) and 491 lb-ft (665 Nm) of torque delivered to the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system via a 7-speed DSG. It rides on massive 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped around in 235/35 front and 275/30 rear tires that are efficiently stopped by "supercar-style" vented discs measuring 15 inches at the front and 14 inches at the back.

The Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo will make its public debut on May 28 at Wörthersee in Austria.

Czech automaker Skoda has revealed online the CitiJet concept, prior to a public debut set for next weekend at Wörthersee.

After a couple of teasers, Skoda is just about ready to present a cabrio conversion for the Citigo which was created over the course of six months by sixteen of the firm's apprentices with guidance from Skoda's head designer Jozef Kaban. They all agreed the roof and rear seats have to be removed in order to create a "dynamic and expressively designed city-convertible."

The body received blue metallic paint with white accents, 16-inch blue alloys and a hand-built rear spoiler at the back where we also find two exhaust pipes. Under the hood is a tiny 1.0 MPI delivering 75 PS (55 kW) sourced from the regular Volkswagen up!-based Citigo.

Moving inside there's a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, along with leather-covered gear knob and handbrake handle. The dashboard has received a white and red finish while for entertainment the CitiJet boasts a 300-watt audio system together with a music-reactive LED lightning.

Seat has revealed the Ibiza Cupster concept which will be shown in public later this month at Wörthersee.

2014 marks the 30th anniversary of the Ibiza and Seat has decided to develop an interesting Cupster concept which will be showcased next week at the GTI Fan Meet Wörthersee in Austria. It features a raked and short windscreen combined with wraparound side windows and Cupra badging at the front. It wears an exclusive "New Orange" exterior body scheme and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The back of the car features a trunk-mounted spoiler and a centrally-positioned large exhaust pipe. Under the hood is the 1.4-liter TSI turbocharged gasoline engine taken from the regular Ibiza Cupra which delivers 180 PS (132 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) to the front axle through a DSG transmission. Compared to the standard model, the Cupster concept's seating position has been lowered by 80 mm and comes with an aniline-wrapped steering wheel and double bubble-styled seats.

The one-off project was elaborated by Seat Design and will remain only a concept.

After this morning's teaser, Skoda has fully revealed the Yeti Xtreme concept which will get its first public outing on May 28 at Wörthersee.

Described as being a "compact SUV with rally car ambitions", the matte grey Yeti Xtreme has received a muscular body kit with large air intakes in the front bumper, flared wheel arches and a height-adjustable chassis. It boasts two hexagonal exhaust pipes and has received underbody protection to create a more rugged appearance.

Under the hood is a 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter TSI with 150 PS (110 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) sent to both axles through a six-speed DSG transmission. It will do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 9 seconds before topping out at 120 mph (192 km/h).

Other highlights include Octavia RS-sourced brakes, tinted windows, 17-inch alloys shod in chunky off-road tires and LED headlights. On the inside there are four individual Recaro seats with built-in four-point safety belts, carbon fiber door panels, along with a thermos flask built into the holders installed in the paneling. It also comes with an aluminum floor panel while in the trunk there's a spare wheel together with "recovery tracks" which are in fact traction mats used when the car gets stuck.

At Wörthersee next weekend, Skoda will also bring the CitiJet concept which is an open-top conversion of the Citigo developed by the company's apprentices.
