  • Safety inspection?

Hey everyone! I'm moving to Edmonton next weekend and will be needing to register and insure my car. I understand that before it can be registered it has to pass a safety inspection of some sort? Where is a good place to go to get this done? Keep in mind I have a 93 Corrado with some mods (nothing crazy) and I just don't want them nit-picking at little things like the fact its lowered and inch, or something dumb like that. If anyone knows of a good place to go please let me know. Here is a pic of my car for reference...

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Safety inspection?

Hmm, just on the 11 year mark eh? The safety inspection just looks at stuff like condition of parts and whether they are safe for operation....brakes, bearings, shocks, tie rods, steering slack, windows, body, etc....they won't pick at you for mods though, as long as all the mods you have done are still good (ie: shock bodies leaking, or no damping effect anymore)....And where to get it done, basically any mechanics shop, just go in and ask for a provincial inspection...last time I remember it cost about 60 bux...Nice looking car though! I love Corrados!

Mike! is that you? I thought i recognized that car, then saw the plate!

Most places will do an out-of-province inspection, even Canadian Tire!
