I dont know if this has already been posted, but how much of a drop is everyone running?

Im still in the market for a set of coilovers or springs and shocks, and a set up that Im looking (ibach prokit and koni yellows) drop the car about 1.7 inches. . . is this a good sized drop?

i am running H&R sport spring and i think its almost a 2" drop all around...its ok i am gonna goto coils tho

H&R sports are apparently 1.6" aren't they? the race are 2.0"

oh, and i'm lowered ~1.8-2.0", never bothered to measure, but I scrape everywhere

i'm 2" and i want to be a tad lower but honestly i'm in the same boat as simon if i'm not careful i scrape everywhere although i've managed to put myself into that mod where i never scrape not but look like an ass driving around lol

ya gotta be willing to make sacrifices if you want a bad low machine. if that mean I risk looking like a dork, then that is a risk I am willing to take.

It all depends on the look you want, do you want low or moderate drop. For me I like the low look so coils was the logical choice as I can get very low in summer but raise it up for winter time. The range for my coils on my car is 55mm - 85mm, so even in winter I will be at 2inchs but probably 3 in the summer

How do you measure how low you are if you dont already know?

Well you kind of need a before and after to really know how much it has changed. You would measure from the center of the wheel to the the fender and compare. If you want to get an idea I can give you my stock measurement and you can compare, but it will not be accurate as every car varies, but ours would be similar.

That would be swell... My car goes in tomorrow to have the suspension looked at...i would like to get coilovers, but i still need to do my research.

My H&R race's are runnin' sweet. Its just my custon exhaust that needs work... its bouncing around like beyonce.

whats so custom about it, i thought it was FK catback with Brullen DP?

FK are only for golf and its mated to the brullen. thats why the fk had to be custom welded to fit.
