        Re: Clutch help

So it will go into gear even though it grinds?

Try putting the car into gear with the engine off, hold the clutch and start it. Make sure that theres nothing in front of you incase the car lurches forward

It will make a grinding noise regardless if clutch is in or out

Sounds like you have bigger problems than just a clutch. To me at least

You have a dual mass flywheel in that car?

I dunno, my 03 6 speed is dual mass. Not sure if the 04 were the same.

                    Re: Clutch help

So grinding happens with or without clutch engagement and the car can shift gears, but now does not move correct?

                        Re: Clutch help

Its a clutch problem, my guess is the flywheel due to the noise on when ever the engine is running. One more test, can you change gears or even just get it out of gear with the engine running and not engaging the clutch? If you can the engine and transmission and not connected and your best to start by pulling the transmission. In 2 hours you could probably know what's wrong if you have an idea what you are doing.
