nitrous for 1.8t (ignition curves)

i recently bought a zex nitrous kit and i was wondering about the install because i have a chip. the instructions say not to install nitrous because the fuel/air mixture curves will be too high with the chip in....has anyone done this before....did you have to get your timing retarded before you installed it? it only runs a 50-75 horse shot. Need info!!

You might not get too many replies about this...

Nitrous is dangerous and people don't want to be held responsible.

Also noone on NVD in Calgary (where most of us live) has a nitrous setup.

id suggest a boost controller.. and turn the boost down to near stock levels before injection nitrous.. maybe retard the timing a degree just incase, but you should be fine as long as you're using premium gas. btw if you blow yourself up, its not my fault.

I've seen too many 1.8T's go bang when on the giggle so I'm not even touching the stuff.
