Hey guys, going to look at a used 2013 TDI Jetta tonight with 25000Km. I’ve never owned a diesel. Any tips on what to look out for. It’s been in an accident before in the rear. Fixed now. Being so new should I get an inspection anyways? Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Re: Looking at buying a used TDI jetta
Def get an inspection, it's been in an accident!
I'd do a bunch of tight turns with the steering wheel all the way turned, go around a half dozen times.
If the car stays in the same circle, good, if not then bad.
Then turn the wheel the other way and do the same thing. Same thing, if it turns in the same circle, good, if if deviates, bad, and also try to see if it turns wider on one side than the other.
Edit: I just wanted to explain that the reason for this test is to make sure the body is straight.Last edited by witchcraftz; 02-20-2014, 10:12 AM.
