    Re: Forge Samco Tip

Well I just blew a bunch of money at Walmart on budget tools so I think I'm gonna go buy some ramps too - make life easier. Maybe this week sometime?

What did you use to get the one use clamps off? Pliers enough?

If you need ramps to borrow you can use mine. I believe you live right behind me. I live in the brown house beside the undeveloped lot. Feel free to borrow them anytime.

I've got those clamps down to a science. Get some big needle nose pliers. Something that'll give you lots of leverage and allows you to stick one tip of the plier into the crimp. Leverage is the key. Stick one tip into the crimped hole and twist and pry like a madman. The whole process takes 30 sec.

I need to buy the hose clamps - where did you get yours, an auto shop or a hardware store? Hopefully Simon and I will get it done tomorrow.

Well thanks to Simon we got it done in about 30-45 mins. Looks pimp and sounds louder. It feels more powerful, but that's probably placebo because I know I changed something. We'll find out actual gains at the dyno day.

I can't believe VW didn't realize that a simple rubber hose was robbing their engine of so much HP
