So driving home today i was cut off and slammed into another driver turning left. Luckily no one was hurt except my car
BOth airbags deployed and my front right side is pretty much gone.

Luckily it was her fault so my car will be covered. its borderline write off or repair so i just have to wait and pray.
I may be in the market soon again though

Hate to say it bud but if the airbags are gone, it's probably a writeoff. If you want to save it let the bodyshop know and they can try to save it when they quote it out.

yea the impact wasnt even that hard and i kinda know it was a writeoff but im just keeping a little hope for her

If it is a write off, I'd buy it back if you have the space for a part out, the cost of the car vs what parts are worth, makes it very worth while

Yea ive already started looking and found a audi s4 for a good price and i will buy it back and maybe even buy a dead engined Jetta and do a straight swap

Get the airbags from pnp, and replace the front end, you've put so much work in it that it deserves a revival.

Ikno i would get a mk5 wheel in there and a gli or 4mo lip it all depends on how much i get for her and how much it will be to buy back...

A friends mkiv was written off a while back, buy back was around $400 if I recall

If you can buy it back do it, you'll get your money if its cheap enough. If you want to bring it back I have a mk5 GLI wheel for sale I'll give you an awesome deal on. Can maybe give you a hand on the bodywork too, frame rail is tricky though.

The car will have a salvage status and the cash value of the damage is never an attractive number. It's kinda a loose/loose, sorry about your car, take the cash and start fresh!

I've been thinking over both sides and i really want to it but at the same time i dont because the engine was starting to have oil issues. I don't know i have a while to make a decisions so you guys might be seeing a rebuild we can make it stronger thread or a welcoming my new car to the family thread
