I would say the MKVI GTI and R both have that 'special something', and I've driven all the Mk4, Mk5 and Mk6 models.

But the MKV and MKVI Jettas have not been good.

This. I find the only fail vw has is the Jetta. The Gti's still have that wow factor, the CC's are simply gorgeous, Tiguans and Touraegs are both really nice. Passats are a bit meh, but still better than Jettas.

Very boring and looks just like a regular gli. Maybe if they put in the 5cyl turbo and awd it would be a great car!

Agreed , this would make it more desirable.

it will be a while before jettas hit 300hp, let alone 400hp from the factory lol

The jetta line lacks as far as i'm concerned. You think they would have given this car some more exterior details.
The new passat's really do it for me though. I read multiple times that their interiors aren't very comfy, made for more large americans then having the nice tight bolstered seats.
