mkiv crankcase upper breather S hose repair

so i tried to fix this bugger today and had the worst time trying to get the upper S hose off of the T joint above the block. anyone done this diy? i found a thread on vwvortex but that was for doing the whole pcv system altogether.

any insight would be really appreciated.

the other hoses are fine, but that upper s hose is cracked to **** at the top.

Oh yeah that piece sucks. I would highly highly recommend the 034 aluminum and silicone version of that kit, that piece breaks every time you try to remove it

its a pretty flimsy piece… that 034 kit has the whole assembly then?
currently this hose is taped together… i really want to get it fixed, cant figure out how that flimsy hose would fit over ANYTHING without cracking. the original piece looks like its almost threaded on to that T joint. anyways. i'll take a look for that 034 version.
