Thats a great idea Colin! What better way to celebrate and remember the year of shows and meetings with a vid of the action and light hearted moments for NVDers. We could also have an internal and external edit, sort of like directors cut to use in different situations. This may also call for a Club Tracks soundtrack

Just to offer my 2 cents, I think its a great idea too :P I have a dvd burner as well so I can help make them, but I dont know anything about editing. But Im willing to offer my dvd burner tho

AWW YEAAA... sounds like a plan.

So here's the deal so far. I'll bring the camera to all the events, and do some filming. Other people can grab the camera and film too because that gets everybody's cars into it. (I want mine in there too ). Then come September or so I'll take the tapes and hand them out to whoever wants to edit. Also, If I'm not there or whatever, I'll give the camera to someone.... or maybe then you could use Ryans too.

I like the idea of an internal and perhaps also an external version. I guess that depends on how much time editors have on their hands. The big thing is, if we make an external version... it has to be clean. If someone tries something crazy on it... we may well be liable.

I think there are some truely awesome ideas here. I like the idea of different people doing editing because everyone has a different style and it's cool to be able to express yourself in that kinda way... it's so personal. I think the most important thing to do from now on is get lots of footage from lots of people. As long as we have the raw footage we can do anything as far as editing... internal, external... you name it! All footage should be shared with everyone that wants it for editing.

I think that since you came up with this awesome idea Colin, that maybe you would want to co-ordinate whatever needs to be co-ordinated and get copies of all the raw footage. I can see that you have some passion around this idea and I think you should run with it! Make it the best it can be!

Yea Bill... I'll hand out copies of the raw footage to whoever wants it (within reason of course).... also, I think it's cool if other people run the camera for a while. This will allow people to see things from alot of different points of view. So if anyone wants to do some filming or something, just let me know, and your welcome to take the camera.... plus ryan has one too.

Well I think this is a very good idea and NVD and EU Tuning (Simon Lomas) will co sponsor the editing contest with a prize or two for the final products. We will get Colin to be the supervisor of the filming and making sure everyone gets the raw footage at the end of the season.

We will outline the details as things progress but I think this will be a fun event for the club and along with helping to promote us!

I would be interested in recieving raw footage for editing once this is all done this is a really good idea for a contest!
