so just before I went on exercise to good ole Wainwright, the bank seized my car and I had to cut it as a lost since the auction house wanted over 3000$ to get the car back. So I am in the market for a new to me V-Dub right now. I wont be able to make meets, but I will stay as active as I can. Anyone know of where to get a decent Golf hatch MK5 or MK6 in the Edmonton area?

Re: A sad day...
Sorry for your loss but I'm trying to make sense of this? You are going to buy another car for $17,000ish when it would only cost $3000 to get yours back? It just doesn't add up.

Re: A sad day...
A 2013 tdi used is worth over $20k and you cut it as a lost to pay $3000 to get it back? I agree with Colin, something doesn't add up.Last edited by dJ; 10-12-2013, 09:22 AM.2001 Jetta TDI GL Silver

Re: A sad day...
I cut it as a loss because its easier to finance a used car and Ill have a vehicle to drive vs wait, save the over 3000, its an additional 25$ a day to "keep it in storage", then try and get it back and run the risk of losing my job and I loose the car again. plus financing a 17k car vs a 30+k car is easier on the wallet.Current: '13 VW JSW TDI

Re: A sad day...
It still doesn't add up dude. Don't you have any family that can help you out? Even going to the bank and asking for a $3500 loan or line of credit is better than giving it up. You can setup good payment plans with the bank so that you're not screwed too hard on interest as well. They also have insurance coverage for those things that can help you out in the event of you getting hurt or losing your job and not being able to make a payment. You do have lots of options, I would hate to see you throw away a nice car like that because you didn't research all your options and make sure that you couldn't get it back.2001 Jetta TDI GL Silver

Re: A sad day...
Isn't this going to affect your credit? I mean I've seen people come through my work who are spending more on interest to finance a car than what the car is worth. In the end a 25k car is costing them 40k cause of this. I'm assuming this might put you in the same boat?Kim

No one will finance you a bicycle if the bank JUST seized your car.
No offense, but you don't have a clue to what you are talking about..... You need help.Last edited by T-Dubbs; 10-13-2013, 10:27 AM.~~TODD~~
