a mid mounted twin turbo w12 is badass, but this engine could possibly make it to production within the next while from what I hear. This plus 4mo, I'd whore myself out for one

this is true, but i highly doubt they will be putting it in a golf. like most have said, its gonna be for the touraeg or something.
This was the VW concept Worthersee car from back in May with the new turbo V6 and as stated the GTI W12-650 I think was a little more exciting, for a concept.
We talked a bit about the engine in the MK7 R thread as well as it has been confirmed that VW is building a V6T and going all turbo across the range, so the biggest question is indeed what will we see this engine in, an R Passat might be nice.

this will be the T-Reg powerplant for sure and probably the new pheaton as well . vw will be attempting to keep its higher end vehicles seperate from the three majors companies (audi porsce and vw) to avoid sales contamination like gm had in the late 90s and early 2000s .I personally have only avoided the regs as my family car because the lack of a great engine .. like audis 3.0T so this vrt would be epic . and probably return high 20s mpg .
