No offence but I never thought they would've looked on your car either dan. But your car has proved me wrong.

Your going to have issues with fitment on the front with a Et of 10 on the front on a mk4. Could be wrong if they're only 8" wide though too.

He should be alright up front, I had a 18x8.5 et 13. And now 18x9.5 et 20 with no issues

How will that translate to a 19" though? I'm pretty sure the rear will be fine but the front is what worries me.

I just checked and I am running 225/45r17, going to 235/35r19 is only a 0.25" increase in radius. So I'm thinking it will fit, just the width that worries me.

I think that you are going to have issues with the front to be honest. If you are low like the car Blair posted you are going to run into fender rubbing issues. If you are higher, you are going to have mexi-poke and it might not look like you want it to

I guess it's like Sean posted if you're low enough and at least roll you're fender lips flat it should fit and look pretty good.
Also depending on you're height you could do a 225 tire. What's you're ftg?

I don't want to go too low as I'm going to be running this setup all year, including in snow, so I will need some space there, but I will have coilovers to adjust the ride height. Currently my car is sitting at about stock GLI height, so not as low as the one in the previous picture.

Due to the kind of tires I buy the closest size I've found is 235/35R19. There aren't any in 225...

                Tire options:
                Nokian WR G2
                Hankook Optima 4S
                Vredestein Quatac

Ftg = fender to ground hight through the middle of the wheel

I'm not sure. As mentioned previously, it's currently on stock GLI suspension, so whatever that would be?

On stock GLI setup the front wheels will poke. What are your current wheel specs and we can work out how much further out these ones will sit. I wouldn't be worried about rubbing with stock suspension, i would be worried about the possible large poke

Re: MK4 Jetta oh TTRS rims?

But just as an example if you have say stock long beach wheels which are 7" wide with an et35, the new wheels are 8" wide with an et10 after adapters your wheel faces will stick out an extra inch and a half. So mock it up and see if you like it? You very well may have to get larger adapters in the rear and smaller in the front, a 17mm front and 25 rear or something or the front will poke way more than the rears

I have currently 17x7.5 ET 35. So I'll check to see what an extra 1" will do. I actually think it will make it sit just over flush?

Inch and a quarter then would be the overall difference if you have 7.5". Remember the ET is taken from the middle of the wheel so only half the difference (7.5-7) is on each side.

I tried it on and didn't like the amount of rim vs tire.

Going to do a straight trade for some 17" BBS RC.
