I've read on another forum that there is a tune available (overseas as they quote Nm as one of the gains) that there is an ECU tune that adds 50bhp for the MK7 Golf R

I thought the A45/CLA45s might be near the max too, but tuning seems to be coming out for them pushing close to 400hp so I am sure the MK7 Golf R will have some options when the time comes!!

It really doesn't get me as excited as previous Rs. The front end of the mk6 differentiates itself from the golfs and GTIs so much. This front end doesn't have the same feel to it. The rear looks like a newer Tiguan or something. Just not as stoked on this car as I thought I'd be. All my opinion obviously but I literally only like the interior minus the steering wheel.

That vid has made me like the mk6 R a lot more. Only reason I'd get a mk7 R is because of the headlights, interior, and the better performance. :/

FYI the 2.0 golf r/s3 will be a diff engine here than europe, without the dual injection, less power and more prone to carbon buildup

Ugh, as much as I will probably regret this decision later - i'm pulling my deposit on the R.

Damn VW really screwed me by bringing this over earlier than expected, I just can't justify a new car when my GTI is only 3 yrs old - I was planning on keeping her for 6yrs. I want a new car, I don't need a new car.
I've waffled back and forth on this decision for a while now. Who knows, maybe by the time i'm ready to get the next best thing we will finally see the Sirocco in NA
