  • New South power gasket plus?

Has anybody ran one of these? I am debating getting one as the science seems right but i feel like their temperature claims are a little ambitious. The VW ABA intake manifold suffers pretty bad from heat soak. For $60 it might just be worth taking a risk, but just checking if anyone has ran one.

The air intake temperature sensor is threaded into the intake manifold. If the manifold is reading cooler would the ECU dump a little more fuel to compensate for slightly denser air?

I have one on my 1.8t, actually does a pretty good job, the intake is about the same temperature as the air flowing through it, maybe a bit colder due to exterior cooling too. Doesn't get stupid hot like without a power gasket.

Notice anything on the butt dyno or just a cooler intake manifold?

I did quite a few modifications at that time so i wouldnt even be able to give you a fair answer on that.

I'd go for it I have one and I can make several long pulls and the manifold is still just ambient temp.
