Going low on a mk4.

I just came across an interesting picture. These are Polo/Lupo Strut bushings and bearings. im still looking to go lower and this may be a very good option to put the car down a little more. Has anyone ever heard of running these in a mk4?

Thoughts? oppinions?
left: mk4 bushing.
right: polo/lupo bushing.

Yes,

Sometimes they cause the top of the spring to rub on the inside of the tower for large diameter springs.

Keep in mind you will need the shorter strut caps as well.

Strut bearings are the same as MK4 I think, I have the part number as well and we stock the bearings.

Side note: does the 2.0 oilpan hang as low as the 1.8T pan?

As long as its the aluminum pan it should be the same height, the hybrid one sits higher.

You shouldn't NEED shorter strut caps, however they can be utilized to keep the stock strut caps from protruding into the bay by a ton

Euro image makes short strut caps. I had them on my mk4.

im running audi 90 mounts in mine got about .5inch drop from them and available local brgs are built in them NCP 2613060 thats napas part number list showing at 40 bucks each and life time warranty

Tried both, they are along the same lines (different manufacturer) and they both wore out within like 5K of driving. Not worth it IMO

Wouldn't recommend running polo mounts on a golf, it's designed for a much lighter car so I'm assuming it will wear abnormally. Recommend the audi mounts as there's no much weight difference between the two cars.

Based on? Experience with the audi mounts vs the polo mounts directly? Or was that something else you learned from GT5?
