      2001 wolfsberg . or any other newer year any trim 1.8t . also try avoid the autos. they tend to cause issues after 140,000kms, and cannot handle upgrades.

        im trying to stick to manual, im going to look at a 2004 1.8t with 188k. dealer wants 5k but ill offer much less lol

          this has potential ... cam tensioner seal ,pcv hoses, and all the suspension bushings will be in need of repair. But it should start and drive nice. Look for rot at the front fenders below the wing corner to main side sill

                i went and looked and was not impressed, lots of rust and 2 flats and smashed window lol i turned and burned.

                  Back to the first one I posted, knowing its a rebuild and unknown maintance. What's it worth? If I were to make a offer. Knowing I need a ppi and timing belt, maybe some other things like o2 sensors ect. I was thinking 2500 cash considering the maintance will cost me close to 2k.

                      The interior is a bit worn, front seats. Car rides and pulls okay. Service records.

                          Lol. Well I'll tell him that and see how quick he hangs up on me. But I do agree with you. I guess 2500 is a bit of a risk, at 1500 it could be worth a go.
