    Looking to buy

    As some of you know I blew my motor I my s4...so I'm slowing getting over it but went to look at a 03 Jetta 1.8t, car looks amazing, needs some interior cleaning but that I can do. How ever the car has a rebuilt status and has no maintance history. Also the steering feels much stiffer then it should and boost gauge is only saying 5 psi taper to 3-4. He said the turbo was replaced last month as well as the steering rack. It also has a chirp when running and sounds like a diesel lol.

    My question is how much is it really worth being a rebulit, and with some of the smaller issues.

            Look for a stock one, one that have the belts done.

              That's the plan. Something that is up to date on maintance.

                I will sell you my mk4, with 170 00 km auto, chipped and 1.8T for less then that, timing belt has been changed/ water pump. All been done by tune dub,
                and mine doesn't have a rebuilt status.

                  i think for that price, you can find one with better milage, and also some with some regular headlights and tail lights :P.

                      If you are thinking of another S4, I'm starting to think of updating from mine. It is an 01.5 so the "new" style. Sport model with Alcantara. Just shy of 194k. Tip (the bad part). "Lightly" chipped with a Stratmosphere tune, so has been easy on the turbos and transmission. And I granny shift it most of the time. I'm not committed to selling yet, but if it is something that may be of interest, let me know.

                        This, exactly. It should feel right enough to go for it, if you know what you want and you still need second, and third opinions, it isnt right. Good luck though! You will find something much better for the money, or something more reasonable for what it is.
