      Make sure you have service records...lots of wiring issues...I wanted one before I bought my TDI...and decided against it...the power is attractive...but wasn't in my "WIFES" budget at the time.

          How much are you planning to spend? I don't see many 12v in Edmonton but quite a few 24v at around 7k

              1.8t is better fuel milage and cheaper to get hp gains out of and boost is sooo nice , but the raw power and sound from a vr is awesome they both have pros and cons . when I was looking I went with the 1.8t for better milage then a vr but didn't need a diesel.

                I like power and fuel economy too, the vr6 is just raw power. I can add a turbo lol. I'm still working it all out we will see what happens, I'm still open to offers if anyone else is looking to sell or know some one selling mk4 jetta.

                        ^ this is also true, unless you absolutley need a car right away, take the time to wait a little. my buddy was dying for a vr6 and there weren't any for sale at the time so he picked up a 2.0 and a week later a perfect one was for sale.

                            im looking at 2 tonight maybe but at least the 2003 i will look at, the 2000 might be sold by noon today pending sale.

                                Thoughts? I'm really close to picking this up, talked to the guy today so the car sounds amazing. There is no budge room on the price, I'll be getting pics tonight and will post then but I'd like overall thoughts.
