mk4 headlight issue

hey guys, i just got my new headlights. i installed them last night, the right one works great. But the drivers side headlight projector wont work. everything else works fine. turns out this projector is blowing fuses. i went into the fuse box, pulled the blown fuse and switched it with the good one. right as i tuned on the headlight. boom it blew. does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

Did you connect a ground? Too much power is distributed.

What kind of headlights are they?

They are helix hid reps. I took out the hid's and how regular halogen bulbs work perfectly. The hid''s 35w. I want to make the hid's work

They are probably wired improperly from factory Danny. Try and trace back where each wire goes and what for for both sides and see if they're identical. I'm assuming they come with an adapter from the back of the headlight to the cars headlight connector.

Take the ballast/bulb and switch it to the other side, if it works its wiring, if it doesn't its the bulb or ballast, switch one of them out to figure out.

ahh good point guys, ill try that out and see if it works. i might wait a couple days as i need to fix up my fog wiring harness and wire that up as well.
