I have heard the lit vents are hard to come by. How do you remove the center dual vent?

PITA for the folding vents, have to carefully pry the faceplate off. Google will let you know where the 6 tabs are located, i believe there is 2 on each side then 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom

Yea, the golf vents are simple enough to remove.

i guess if you pay 36k for a mk4 jetta then you get the nice audi leftovers inside haha

Both my 2001 Jetta's have had the lit vents. My wifes 2000 Golf does not though.
