Ok, so i messaged some people asking if they know a good place to find good windshields. After taking suggestions, calling around, and people asking me to let them know what i find, here are the results:

I decided to go with Payless Auto Glass, next to Rudy's. They're $349 plus GST. It's an OEM windshield, "sekurit", something like that along with excellent installation i hear, that i will post a follow up on tomorrow. So I believe that price has a discount of some sort on it, and is available for anyone in the club. Jetta and Golf are the same. This is for a window without the rain sensor or the top tint band. The window is slightly tinted grey.

    The others:

Kings Glass - $279, windshield made by: "i dont know"
Crystal Glass - $394, windshield made by: "ppg"
Auto Windshield Surgeons - $209, windshield made by: "ummm we get them from china"

    So take yer pick!

              Re: Windshields

Mine just got its first crack today, damn cop went ripping past me at mach 5 on the shoulder.....so my question is, how do they get around the pillar pods?? I used to replace windshields in the auto body shop I worked in and none of tools I used would work! I have a windshield knife that works from the outside, but scratching the paint wasn't a big issue when the car was being done anyhow...anyone know??

                ok, so little update:

they did an excellent job, showed my how crappy kings glass' job was, almost half wasnt even sealed properly... definately recommend!

when they did show me mine, it was cracked more than when i brought it in, maybe they just kick it out from the inside... ?

also, when i did install my pod, i was never able to put the top clip in properly, they even did that for me!!! woohooo. bring it on, airbags!
