Just called tune dub and was quoted 7-800 for install?? O.o And if i install myself a 2-350 for alignment. So it seems if you have some deep pockets tunedub does great work at a cost.
Anyways i was talking to Dennis- Owner and he said he has never had to put wheel spacers on anything that has come into his shop. He stated it was all for looks.
So it looks like no wheel spacers are needed...
Just curious on price so i was quoted 700 without alignment at minute muffler, even though i wouldn't go there. They are saying its 3 hours for front 3 hours for rear.
I wanna do it myself just dont wanna mess anything up haha
Don't take it To a shop for an install. It's easy enough to do by yourself plus it's fun if you have some friends out with beers. Plus you will also learn about your car. Ur gonna save a lot off eu for more mods if you like too.

True that. I do love working on my own car. I did do my own boost gauge steering wheel pod install myself with a buddy and it wasn't to bad at all. Im going to call Calgary Autoworks and ask about that set.

What tune dub quoted you is correct. Thats what most reputable shops will quote you for a coilover install. Its not just for people with deep pockets, its for people who want it done right. luckily you are on a forum with many knowledgable people that are willing to help out. You will be able to save a ton of money and still do it right, but it might take you a good couple of hours (or even a whole day) to get it done. Like Danny said, enjoy the experience, learn a few things, get to know some people and have a few beers.
As for the shop who said he's never needed to install spacers for wheels to fit, I guess he hasnt really worked on that many cars

That is what i am starting to realize. It is not a quick job and im looking forward to getting them in myself. I was more so saying that when i called around between tune shops i had as much as $200 difference between as alignment all at well reputable shops. I should of mentioned that Tunedub said they haven't had to put wheel spacers on anything with stock wheels when doing coilovers.
And im very thankful for knowing all receiving help from all the nice people on this site!!!

Ahh fair enough. I didnt realize you were talking about stock wheels. Yes with stock wheels, there should never be a NEED for spacers, most people just WANT them. Also not sure if you were talking about the same shop when you mentioned the name Dennis, but George is the owner of Tunedub. He is great. We all love him

Some stock wheels need spacers when you want to go low because the springs sometimes rub with the inside of the wheels, first thing I did was to raise it up so the spring and adjusters sit on top of the wheel, then the balance was kinda screwed so I got some spacers and lowered the front...
