  • Tools for springs install

    Hi all,
Willing to pay pizza/beer money to someone kind enough to lend me a spring compressor and box wrench for a spring install I'm planning to do on my R tomorrow. Can return tools on Sunday and leave a deposit.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thanks.

Partsource rents spring compressors for next to nothing. Can't help with the box wrench though... what we did when installing my coils was hold a socket with vice grips... not the best method but it works

Edit: Nevermind, sounds like Sean has you covered haha

EDIT: Do you need a regular box wrench (what you asked for) or do you need an OFFSET box wrench (probably what you need)? I don't have the offset wrench but i have all the necessary tools to complete the operation in a slightly different fashion using a large spark plug wrench, 22mm box end wrench and some torx bits and 1/4" drive socket/extension

You are correct. I need an offset Box wrench - 21mm or 3/16
I think your solution will work fine though!

I have the spring compressors and the specialty tools for the strut nut for future reference. I am away currently though.
