may be a good time to invest in some side skirts?

I'd recommend side skirts. Looks like it wouldn't really affect where skirts would mount. Had the same thing happen to my old jetta.

Well your options are grind off the rock guard and use a post tacker and slide hammer to pull it, fill, rock guard, paint. Or just get side skirts.

No PDR guys will touch the rockers, they are too thick and usually have no access.

(i now know why: because my e brake is only working on my rear right) this caused the jack to fail, crash down and bust the jack. but LUCKILY not on my hub, but even more importantly any part of my body. somehow the jack stayed under the car and high enough so that no damage was done to the car. eric came to the rescue with jay's jack and everything seemed to be okay. but HOLY S*** did it scare the life out of me. i was only so lucky that i was not reaching my hand underneath the car at the time that it came down.
quoted myself from when it happened. scary moment forsure. anyways im not really too sure what could be done other than putting some side skirts on, it will definitely cover it up nicely.
