  • Bora OEM HIDs plastic housing replacement ?

I just got Some OEM HIDs which are damaged and I am going to rebuild. Just wondering if anyone has the part number for the black plastic housing? The right side housing is in need of replacement, it's basically just a pile of black plastic pieces.

Is it the same as the regular headlight housing or does it have different tabs etc?

The black backing might be the same, but the lenses are different.

I saw some depo replica housings at C1 last week, they had the integrated ballast mounts and all.

That would probably work, I'll contact C1. Thanks!

Re: Bora OEM HIDs plastic housing replacement ?

Hey are these OEM HIDs or are they replicas? I am pretty sure the housings are different between the OEM HIDs and the stock headlights because they offer OEM HID adjustment knobs and they will not work on regular headlights, plus the OEM HIDs have the ballast slot integrated into the housing.

OK more research, all are different:

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing the ballast mount on the bottom, it was only a quick look, they said the lights just came in.

Re: Bora OEM HIDs plastic housing replacement ?

These are OEM HIDs, not Replicas. As you noted, It needs the HID adjusters, that does eliminate the OEM regular backing, too bad but I don't think the projector would have fit in it anyway.

I did contact C1, but they are only selling a full OEM HID replica kit, no parts.

I guess I really need to get an OEM HID black housing back part. I am clueless as to where to find it though.

I have the bora headlights too and broke an adjuster when re-aiming the headlights after i lowered the car. I found
a new heavy duty billet aluminum adjusters on ebay germany that i need to buy. There might be the parts on there you need too maybe worth taking a peak.
