Personally, I think that any smaller antenna than stock just doesn't look that good at all. Especially on the Jetta, it just looks out of place in my opinion.
I have a TT antenna and had it on my car for a month or so last year. I found the reception was poor at best; so I switched back to my stock antenna. But I shopped that in half. Looks a lot better and the reception is still good. I would think about this new antenna if a) the reception is good and b) the price comes WAY down. $40 USD for an antenna is nuts!

I heard the TT was a cell antenna as well. I guess thats why the reception is crap. If that new short antenna was a little cheaper; I'd consider getting one....

The antanna I have is kinda like the third one in the pic. $30 Canadian I think. I don't listen to the radio too much, but when I do its usually the local campus station which only has a 900 watt transmitter, and I haven't noticed any difference in reception.
