I would be willing to see what the difference is on my stock TDi, that or I need you to chip me up soon BTW know of any programming differences between older ecu's (immo 2's) as opposed to the new ones? I know the chip package is different but is the programming different?

      Re: Upsolute Intercooler

      Good News...

I have one intercooler in with the TDi pipe kit, I should get the 1.8T pipe kit tomorrow. I am really keen to fit it to my car but it would need a couple of mods to fit behind the much shallower bumper I have now. Otherwise, it looks really nice and to fit it behind most other bumpers looks easy.

I would rather open this one up to anyone who is interested in purchasing it right now and see if I can get one made with some slight changes to fit my bumper better. The unfortunate news is that this means I am not looking to demo this on cars right now, (no one would want to buy an ex-demo...).

If anyone is interested in seeing the kit, you can come by or I will take it to a convenient location. I am still looking forward to seeing the results from this kit, it should make a huge difference to those TDis with injectors or 1.8Ts with a chip etc.

The 1.8T piping is in now too, it uses one continuous pipe from the turbo and one back up again. Really simple and effective plumbing..

That is awesome, I bet it would even be useful to get that piping if going with a a different intercooler then, since I know good piping is the hardest part. Although, its not like intercoolers with inlet/outlet on the same side are easy to find.

By the way, what're the dimensions on this thing? Also anyone know about how much flow is needed for the 1.8T in the <300 whp bracket?

kris the EVO and APR both have in/out on the same side but enough of that this up one seems interesting can't wait to see test stuff on it.

You'll have to buy one to find out!!
There is one transition in size but I am not sure right now what they are. I will measure later.

                  Simon....
do you know if the IC plumbing will work on my car (NB)...?? Is it a very different plumbing run, versus the Golf & Jetta setups? I'm assuming that probably I would have to go to a "Cup" front bumper to "conceal" the IC (yeh .. right) or even.... maybe....
hmmmm, I guess I have been looking at (thinking about) eventually getting that Turbo S front & rear clip.... I'll jusy have to keep looking for one at a dismantler....

btw.... I have become very satisfied with my computers new personallity after it's "therapy" session with "Sigmund" Lomas... it seams that "Jeckyl" has come to the forefront, and "Hyde" has now gone into hiding

I guess bigger injectors are next...... (and I'll have to book in for another session for another personality adjustment)

                    General rule of thumb:
1.5xHP = airflow in CFM for gasoline engines.

add 25% more air for diesel applications.
