  • my problem

umm this is my issue.. i need my exhaust shuved sidways like oh 1.5" rudys cut my valence too much to the one side.. so how am i gonna fix this?

i phoned rudy's and they said to bring the car and piece by tommorow and more than likely i'll have to leave my car with them over the weekend and hitch to BC with my buddy or just not go now

should look like this as the picture i gave them.. i measured my stock valence up to my pzwo and thier cut is like 2" off from the stock i have no idea how they measured or cut it like that

Damn Ryan! WTF? When I saw how they were gonna make your cut, I noticed it was off from the picture. But I figured that's how you wanted it because different exhausts don't sit the same. Hence, that's the reason I sorta questioned it on the "official body shop" thread. This might be a stupid question, but did you dry fit or measure the piece prior to the cutting?

          Re: my problem

kinda coulnd't fit it since the exhaust is in the way.. in my one picture of the side of it its sticking out only because it got pushed but it was 100% flush up to the wheel wheel length wise so its all good for fitting the pzwo stuff its OEM but not now i guess..
i'll see what they say tommorow.. if i have to cancel/redo my plans then so be it this is kinda important so.. hopefully they'll be able to mold a piece on and then just cut some more off..

Hmmm, that's not good Honestly, if it were me, I would have left my car there. It's really the only way a shop can gauge how the cuts should be made to where the exhaust is. But having said that, let me know how this evolves. What time are you going to Rudy's? I might stop by and meet you to see what's happening with this.

Getting it to line up proper is tough. First thing I noticed when I got home from Germany is how much I hate how my tail pipes look. First thing Tuesday I go somewhere and get them done right.
