Re: United Motorsports ECU/DSG/Launch Control tunes
Damn, sucks how you can't group PM and I don't feel like text spamming you guys.
So everyone responded to my last PM.
Aston - Free anytime this week except Wednesday night
Ben - Free anytime this week except Wednesday and Friday night
Evan - Free anytime this week except Wednesday night
Obie - Free anytime this week
So that leaves tonight, Thursday evening, Saturday or Sunday (I don't want to drag it passed Sunday).
Re: United Motorsports ECU/DSG/Launch Control tunes
Hey folks, how did the UMS tuning go?
On another note do you know if the latest ECU tune from UMS has has the SAI disabled? I inquired with the guys at UMS and they said they could send a new code to remove/add it from the current ecu's coding they offer.
What this means is you could completely remove the SAI system and save a couple of pounds of weight (we all know the r32 could use a diet). I already have to block-off plate for the removal just want to know if this if part of the ECU flash you guys are doing.
Re: United Motorsports ECU/DSG/Launch Control tunes
Hey,
We are going to do the tunes tonight.
Hmm the last I read about the SAI reflash it was an additional $50 (this was in fall of 2012).. I'm not sure if UM has since included the SAI delete in the current stock version of the tune.
Yeah I think the numbers are 7-10lbs by removing the SAI system. You might have better luck getting answers from Shawn or contacting UM guys directly (which I've never been able to do lol).
Re: United Motorsports ECU/DSG/Launch Control tunes
I've driven a good chunk this weekend with the UM tune. It's been pretty fun, makes it feel like a completely different car, really keeps pulling away when you put the foot in to it. The spark cut is fun when manually shifting, but when slowly pulling away in auto a low rev shift can be a bit jerky at times.
