    Should I buy?

    I've been looking into a 1993 vr6 passat wagon. Guy offered me a good deal on it. Anything I should look out for?

    Car has 260k coilovers and is automatic. Has a few small things wrong but nothing mechanical.

    What's your thoughts? I'm looking a good daily driver.

    Looks alright. Get a good inspection and a compression test and see where its at.

      that vintage of Passat (B3?) was known for having terrible auto transmissions. I'd bet it's already been replaced or needing to be and they are costly.

      They are one of my favorite VW's though.

                  Does it come with those fat fives? They are probably a good way to recoup some of your cash if you end up having problems!

                  Needs an alignment is a little shifty do you know anyone who can look at that for free before you buy it? At that price hard to justify paying for an inspection maybe. Or get the guy to split the cost of the alignment w/you before you buy and have it checked. Could be something bent.

                  Looks like a sweet ride otherwise.
