I bought my car from used from my local VW dealership. Looking under the hood I saw Carbonio intake. This got me wondering if the previous owner got a tune done. Long story I believe there is an APR tune on my car and I managed to lock the ECU. I have no idea who the previous owner is. Is there any way I can by bypass the ECU lock? The only thing I can think of is talking to my salesman to see if he can give me the name of the previous owner. If I can't get the name of the previous owner because of privacy issues does anybody have any idea what I can do?

Re: APR Lockout
You could always call APR to see what they say. They might want proof that you own the car just to make sure it isn't stolen or something, but it's worth a shot.Scott

Re: APR Lockout
Thanks for all the replies. I talked to Andrew at Concept 1, and he told me he can check out and if my car does indeed have an APR tune, and if it does he can transfer it over to me from the previous owner. I guess I am making a road trip to Calgary lol.Last edited by Lumberboy; 01-22-2013, 03:06 PM.

Re: APR Lockout
Nice! Now get a downpipe put on while you're here and upgrade to stage 2... now THAT makes a huge difference!Scott
