  • Mk4 Hood bra Question came up.

hey guys, i wanted to know if anyone is running a hood bra. i was just messing around on vortex and saw a few photos of people running them. does anyone know if this could be a viable option to run a badgeless grill without filling the notch professionally?. i was thinking the hood bra might cover the hood emblem notch, or even if you bought the hood notch filler, then ran the bra.

    thoughts?

I have the GTI bra for my MK4, never even looked to see if the bra its self forms into the hood emblem notch...
I'll put it on tonight and take a look!

Danny, notice how both the guys running badgeless have the bumper part filled in. The hoodbra may hide the hood notch not being filled in, but you'll see a big missing chunk in the bumper which I dont think you can really hide.

I'd leave the badge if you're doing a bra. The second one looks the best out of the 3 of them IMO. And like Pat said, you have to fill the bumper on Golf's.

I'm thinking ill put my custom GLI bra back on tonight for a bit of fun

Thanks for reminding me guys, and for a jetta this would work since out bumpers don't have a notch as well, as long as you unstitch and resew the hood notch flat instead of rounded.
