  • 86 Jetta GL - Yay or Nay?

I've always loved Mk2's, and today i found one on kijiji that hasn't left my head since i saw it.
its an 86 Jetta GL 1.8 (90hp) with 260k. He wants $1000 bucks for it minus the roof rack and wheels.
It seems to be in decent condition, and for $1000 bucks, im sure it needs some TLC but thats what i love. It needs a starter and battery, and im sure some new gaskets etc, but i just want a second opinion.
Worth it or not? I am definitely leaning towards worth it
