Re: worst DAY EVER!
In 2 hours I could have: driven your car into a tall snow bank, dug a hole to the underside of your car, ripped the plastic cover off and used my teeth to undo the oil drain!!!...Well atleast it would have been less intrusive then what they must have done

Re: worst DAY EVER!
so, there is a tool to tighten wheel bearings, its takes all of 2 seconds to do, why didnt they do it?
ya i dunno about concept1, i bet my "shady tree" mechanic friend who charges $30 hour could have done that or better. he replaced my front left wheel bearing, and my front right lower control arm, no problems.
i notice that my suspensions makes loud "bangs" if i go over certain types of bumps and certain speeds... anyone else get this? it feels like as if some comes loose and pops into place again....2002 VW Golf GT TDI

Re: worst DAY EVER!
bart they did just tighten it back up .. but the part that angered me to the point i wanted to punch somebody was the fact after my car was done the service advisors didn't even do anything about it.. i was like yo my car has been there 10 minutes WTF is going on.. oh okay.. 20 minutes later i get it.. then to make shiz worse some stuff i bought at the mall i forgot to grab from the waiting area on the way out so i have to go back tonight and pick it up. sigh............Last edited by R_Ethug; 02-06-2004, 12:27 AM.

My prob was when I had my suspension installed, someone forgot to tighten all the bolts. I can't remember right now which bolt, but there were three to do up and only two were done up to spec.
sway bar end links? subframe bolts?Last edited by 1.8Trip; 02-04-2004, 09:27 PM.

hmm, basically it only 'pops' going over bumps, not all the time, like i said, a certain combination only. ya, i need to get everything tightened maybe. its not a big deal, but feels/sounds weird.

Re: worst DAY EVER!
I get a really weird horrific noise at times... sounds like my sway bar fell off and hit the ground. It only happened after my sway bar install. For some reason it seems to happen when I reverse out of my parking garage... not very often, but when it does it scares the crap out of me and I have to get out of my car to make sure my car hasn't fallen apart.
The sway bar was installed by Concept 1, but I don't know if that makes any difference.billip

Re: worst DAY EVER!
well i think my bearing thing coulda possibly been from me driving off the sidewalk that one day and thinking the crunch was my sway and driveshaft although i checked and my driveshaft did have a rub mark so i dunno..

Re: worst DAY EVER!
yea i think they tend to treat the younger people like crap for some reason.. actually i wasn't cheesed a paul the SA it was this scottish guy (paul left at like 4pm).. i think he's like PT or something cuz he didn't know too much about what was going on and seemed just generally busy which is understandable i just thought it was pretty weak how they treated me..
the worst part of the day was how my front 12v plug wasn't working... well i checked the fuse myself and said okay its fine.. i used a multimeter on the plug it had voltage.. but it still wouldn't work.. well i saw them take a cylinder looking piece (the 12v adapter) into the shop which i'm assuming was for my car.. the work order said the fuse was bad.. i was like WTF.. whatever..

Re: worst DAY EVER!
See, thats the mistake most young people make. I'm only 20 myself, but I dont take sh*t . If they tell you they never ordered it, its time to make a big scene and demand free stuff!! haha. You have to go in to places like car dealerships really, really pissed off! The thing is, If you ordered that part over the phone, chances are they had no clue of your age.
For example: I brought the jeep in for servicing at varsity and I asked them to take a look at the electrical. They called me at work just after lunch and said that they couldnt get to it and Id have to bring it back. I said "F*ck that, let me talk to your manager."
Needless to say when i got to varsity after work, my problem was not only fixed, but didn't cost me a dime(sure the part they replaced was worth $12, but thats $12 in my pocket)
