OEM HiD Question

For those of you with OEM HiD's which bulbs do you use?

Low Beams: d2s
High Beam: H7 -- Anyone tried Philips 85122's?
City's: ??? H6W? W5W?
Turns: H21W..

I am going to use Koitos in my retros. But OEM HIDs should have D2S bulbs I htink.

For any headlights with separate low beam and high beam bulbs i would NOT suggest using HIDs in the high beam spot (phillips 85122s as you suggest) because of their warmup time and different arc characteristics. With halogens the filiment is perpendicular to the bulb tube where as with HIDs the arc is parallel, this makes the light source be off from the designed focal point and thus starts to scatter light.

Agree with MechEngg. I think I have Silverstars in my high beams. City lights are running the H6w bulbs


but I think I will get some of these to whiten up the light when just running my city bulbs as DRL

Yep D2S as the stock HID bulb, I run a super yellow bulb for my highbeams that I got off ebay though. I don't have city lights and just whatever bulbs we have in the drawer at work for markers etc..
