Recently I parted out the old money pit, and once again thank to everyone who showed. It was good to put some faces to the names on here!
But anyways, i had a guy pick up all the leather seats from my 03.5 1.8t, and he wanted to put them in his GERMAN made TDI wagon. Now as far as i know, his seats were heated, so i guess they should be plug and play. But now he's saying that the right seat has shorted out, and he wants a refund. Fair enough, but before i cough up the cash i need some info/input from you guys.
I personally wouldn't ask for a refund for something i bought used, especially when it comes to cars but every situation is different.
This should be a plug and play, from the research I've done but I'm hesitant to give in because there is a chance they ARENT plug n play, and the possibility that there was errors in the install that caused it to short. IIRC, his wagon was an 02, and from what I've read, the connectors are NOT the same.
Like i said before, you take a risk when doing this type of thing, but i just wanted input!
