Well I new when I bought the rims they were wrapped in troubling rubber but I guess I'm working with what I got before I drop a bunch more for new tires when these ones are pretty new.

Yeah i would definitely just keep the rubber and save up for what you really want next summer (or future when money allows). Do a bit more research (like that thread and the stance thread) and see what you think you would like to do to your car.
