Hey Guys,
Im James, a calgary guy who mike (merdenoms) got addicted to volkswagen. I've been lookin into picking up a mk4 jetta. From reading the vortex and nvd forum's I know this one's been beaten into the ground, but every situation is different right?
1.8t (2002+) or vr6 - My intentions are to have this car as a daily driver. I could care less about my 1/4mile times, but I want to have a "fast" car. Im looking at spending around 30g's so if I go with the 1.8, Id have a bit of money to throw back into the car right off the get-go. I've been pricing out jettas for a little while and have test drivin both already but still can't make up my mind as to wether I want the 6 or the 4 as I didn't see much of a power difference for. Its hard to have an impartial view seeing as I've driven Mike's car and obviously the car I buy will be alot different, in the beginning at least
I do plan on modding the car but nothing unusual. Oh yeah, and if anyone is lookin for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee - lemme know.
Cheers!
