  • Adjusting Coil-overs?

Looking at my car lately I'm thinking that I may raise the back end just slightly. Right now it looks like there is always something heavy in the back Anyhow, my question is...... how tough is this to do on H&R coils? I'm thinking of just moving them up a few threads. Also, will I need any kind of anti-seizing spray or anything? Also, what do I use to clean out the threads?

    Thanks.

Also, Golf2.0t, I've had a crazy week... and I'll give you a call tonight.

I'd probably take it the car wash and spray it down to get most of the salt and grime off. The guys at C1 recommended getting the threads as clean as you can with a cloth or some kind of brush first then spray it with WD40 to give it a bit of lubrication. Then apply some anti-seize compound. After that, take your c wrenches and twist the two lock rings apart. I would recommend re-cleaning again at this point as there is probably still some grit left in the threads. Set to the desired height and re-lock.
