  • SUrging in power..

I have been noticing this intermittent surging while driving. Speeds are variable, but recently this weekend it was doing it at 110kph. I've recently had it chipped with Malione, but noticed this prior as well. I was hoping the logs may point to something if something was serious enough to show up. Its of course hard to explain, but feels like a sputter/surge and seemingly consistent with 3 surges within a second total for the 3... And of course comes and goes....

My best guess was a clogged fuel filter or something?

Recent work done was a water pump and timing belt and serpentine belt about 2000km ago. I think it was present before then but really noticed it after.

    Any pointers?

Start with the fuel/air filter, could be an intank fuel pump or tandem pump as well. I can't remember if there were screens on the pickups in the fuel tank, but that might also be partially clogged.

I assume you have a race pipe? If not how does the intake look? could be clogged up

Does it surge when you are on the gas? turbo boosting? or just surge when coasting?
