Re: Need some help guys
If the ECU didn't take the complete initial flash, it is likely bricked. A dealer won't be able to flash it either. I know that APR has been able to recover some ECUs for customers in the same scenario.
If the dealer can't help, and wants to replace the ECU, contact me and we'll get the ECU down to APR for you, and I'll do my best to ensure there is no charge for the repair. As far as I know, there are no other tuners who have the software written to repair the ECU in this situation.

Re: Need some help guys
No problem at all.
Just so you are aware a used ECU will not likely work, it will not have the same immobilizer coding. A new ecu can be coded by VW, but that is the $1700 version you were quoted.
If you get us the ECU asap we will overnight it to APR HQ, and get it back to you within a few days. As far as I know this is your only option other than buying the new ecu from VW.

Ya ken I'm going to call the dealer and get that ECM to ya hopefuly in the afternoon. What an event, it started by Chris doing me a favor and it has gone downhill since. Especially on a guys 6 days off. Thanks again for everyone, good chance our rental is going to take us back too fort Mac..
If I knew everything now a month ago I would have just installed the glow plugs myself and everything would be normal.

The new glow plugs use a different voltage so no you would have had to change the programming either way.Name: Brent
