Well my wife came down to red deer to get the passat re flashed with the unitronic software to find out after they put it in the car won't start. Wife and kids had to get it towed to the dealer there to fix it. Had to rent a car. What type of chip should go in this 2.0 tdi?

If it is a diesel go with Malone and buy the programmer. No need to ship it off and you can change the tune as you want.

They only have stage one for the pd engine so it s not like it could get mixed up and it is done through the obd2 port. I could not speak for the shop as I do not know what would have went wrong but they should stand behind there product. Is it the origional ecu to the car?Been driving VAG for longer then allot of the members have been alive

Wtf, shop should def take responsibility. Was it not the glow plug recall you were getting done? I'd say it has something to do with that.Comment

I had the unitronic tune in. Did the recall at a vw dealer and they reflash. Trying to get it re installed at das auto and with the newest software from the dealer it went bad. Rick I think at das auto tried to get it working. Seems like a nice guy on the phone. It will stay stock or until I decide to put one in before selling. Still at the vw dealer, hopefully they can get it runningComment

I hope it goes well . what a day i had trying to get the stock flash back in it . i dont know what vw did for that glow plug reflash but if you have a working pd with a chip do not get it reflashed at dealer thinking you can re installl your performance tune afterwards ....they have done somthing in that tune that makes our end verry difficultsigpicComment
